DIG IN QUESTIONS
1. When you were growing up, what were the messages you were taught about saving sex for marriage?
2. Read Eph 5:25. Marriage is a picture of Christ and the church. How does this picture help us better understand the significance of sexual unfaithfulness?
3. Read Matthew 5:29-30. Why do you think Jesus used such strong language about cutting off those things that cause you to stumble?
4. Read Ephesians 5:11-13. Pastor Scott said that many times we literally sin in the darkness. Think to some of your hidden sins, why do you think we usually ‘keep the lights off’? How does sin and the enemy use that darkness to keep us in bondage?
5. Radical amputation, radical accountability and radical appropriation – which one stood out as the most meaningful? How about the most challenging and why?
6. Read Ephesians 5:18. Paul says to not get drunk on wine. Pastor Scott explained that this is not restricted to only being wine, but could be many other things that we run to? If you were to be speaking with a trusted spiritual friend, what is an area you often run to to deal with anxieties and ‘dull the pain’?
