•Of the frustrations in your life in any given week, how many have to do with relationships?
•Read Matthew 22:35-40. What does Jesus say is the connection between our regard for God and our regard for others?
•Rapid fire, read Matthew 6:14-15, Colossians 3:13, Eph 4:31-32, 1 Cor 13:4-6. What theme emerges?
•Read Matthew 18:21-22 – the law said you had to forgive 3 times. Why do you think Peter offered up a different number? What is the principle behind what Jesus said is the right amount of forgiveness?
•Pastor Scott said “forgiveness is not an act as much as it’s a habit.” Do you agree or disagree? Why or why not?
•We can’t forgive and forget. Why is it so important to offer up forgiveness every time it comes to mind?
•According to Ephesians 4:31-32 – what is our motivation for forgiving others?
•Pastor Scott said “forgiveness is not about our relationship with other people, forgiveness is about our relationship with God.” Consider a relationship where you’ve been slow to forgive, how was it really about your relationship with God?
